Carl Milles designed a Dianafountain at the end of the 1920’s for the Palace of Matchsticks in Stockholm. The palace was commissioned by Ivar Kreuger as the headquarters of Swedish Match. The hunting goddess in the fountain stands high above the animals that lure around the plants and of the bottom of the basin. This deer is a part of the installation. Milles also designed a different version of the Dianafountain for Chicago, there the lower part of the sculpture contains of a large urn with reliefs of different hunting animals.
